I've been looking for an inexpensive projector screen and have found these two on Amazon:

Carl's Blackout Cloth
Elite Screens

The second one is kind of confusing because there are a ton of different options.

Does anyone have any experience with those screens, or with a similarly low-priced screen that you can recommend?

Thanks!

The first one is just the blackout material. You still have to build a frame and staple the material to the back. You can buy this material at any fabric store, probably cheaper. The pull down screens like that Elite will develop wrinkles. There's no way around it.Between those 2 options, I would go with the blackout cloth. It's a very popular DIY beginner screen.

I bought a 120" Cinegrey Elite and put it together with the help of another HTFer in about an hour. Very satisfied. It obviously is not the same quality as a Stewart or other high end screen but its perfect for my needs.
