They had to create Dolby Digital tracks, didn't they? They could have done DTS at the same time. As for buying them seperatly, places like blockbuster will rent them individually and not as a set. It is possible that you might be able to pick up a used copy of Raiders at a video store.

As Richard stated, Lucas is calling the final shots on DTS. Considering the same master used for DD would have been likely used for DTS, there was no point in DTS. Also, remember, more bits are being used for the video now (presumably).

You won´t find DTS on any DVD on Lucas´s films, simply because he has made a deal with Dolby...regardless who directs them, including his pal Spielberg.

I'm with those who still cannot believe Indiana Jones is actually gonna be here soon. I think we all got numb from the BS surrounding the wait of having this series on DVD. To me, it just seems kind of surreal, kind of like I'm expecting someone to wake me up from the dream of Indy Jones coming on October 21st. I can hear the Raiders march in my home theater already.
