If you could only take one dvd to a deserted island, to heaven, to hell, anywhere, what DVD would you choose and why?

For me, The Big Lebowski. I love that movie like no other. Coming in a close second though:
    -Fight Club
    -The Shawshank Redemption
    -Pulp Fiction

Let's just hope this scenario never happens.

You would get so sick of that one DVD. I couldn't make that choice, if I were forced to it would depend on my mood at that moment. Possibilities:

    LOTR:FOTR:EE
    Fight Club
    Matrix
Matrix Revisited (I'd argue it's really the second half of the Matrix 2 Disc set, released late, I want to take both!)
The Godfather Trilogy (I had to buy them all together, so I'm taking them all!)
    Indiana Jones Trilogy (Ditto)

now that's a good one. while deployed to saudi arabia during operation iraqi freedom, many jokes abounded that it was a real life groundhog day. i spent 6 months there, man did it feel like groundhog day.

For TV, I'd pick the Sports Night set. For film it would either be LOTR: EE or Jaws. I'd never be able to pick, though.

I've thought about this, I don't know why.
I would probably take The Saragossa Manuscript. For one thing, it's long (3 hours), it's full of many different stories and wonderful characters, it's a comedy, a horror film, a romance, and an adventure, and it's one of my favorite movies.

Casablanca Special Edition is my choice. This is the best film ever made. I must watch it about half a dozen times every year. I never get tired of it. The special edition just makes a great film even better.

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? I've probably watched it more times than any other movie, except maybe Wizard of Oz.[IMG]

For now i'd pick Family Guy (probably vol. 2) but once it's released i'd definitely go with Newsradio on DVD.

Wonderful book, great adaption of the book, terrific acting. A no-brainer for me.

Well, I'd hope I'd never have to make this choice, but if I did.

If I chose television, it would either be Sports Night, or Simpsons S. 3, although probably Simpsons S. 3 because I never get tired of Homer at the Bat.

For movie, probably Shrek its the 1 I watch the most anyway.
