Waiting for me on my doorstep the UPS and USPS made deliveries to me today. The following BD titles arrived:

All That Heaven Allows
Riot in Cell Block 11
A Hard Day's Night
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold
Rififi
Caught
Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid
The Lost Moment
Point Blank
The Time Machine

Without much else to say, I'm feeling mighty good right now with a lot of joy. Later all, off to watch The Time Machine and without any screen caps. ;)

I'll report back later with my comments about the BD's presentation.

Did you get those Criterions from the Barnes & Noble sale? I just ordered a All that Heaven Allows from them. I'm still waiting to hear from Screen Archives that today's Twilight Time releases have shipped. :(

Have that Dr Detroit DVD. It gets spun up once a year or so.
Looking forward to it. Howard Hessman"a character puts me in mind of Star Trek's Harcourt Fenton Mudd. With regards to having gorgeous women around anyway.

Sometimes I hold "screencap nights" at my place, where I get a few friends together and we watch roughly 170,000 screencaps in a row, at a rate of 24 each second. It's great fun ;)

I've held off on buying a fair few Blu-rays that are in my Amazon cart precisely because I'm planning to have them delivered in one big shipment and have a similar experience to what you describe. I'm looking forward to having several weeks' worth of movies to watch in one hit.

Anyway, enjoy the movies.

I can't believe that this isn't on Blu-ray yet!

MR. PEABODY AND THE MERMAID looks outstanding. It's one of the best looking Olive releases I seen since IT'S IN THE BAG. Much better than SO THIS IS NEW YORK.

After watching The Time Machine yesterday, that's the next one on my watch list for today.

Are these all movies you have seen before or will there be some first time viewings for you?

My Christmas was this past Monday, when I received a bunch of stuff (not just movies). My mailman must hate me by now :)

I have seen them all beforehand except The Lost Moment which I don't have any recollection of.

I changed my mind about Mr. Peabody, I want to see Point Blank next.
