I've used the AV12 in a 140L ported box (18Hz Fb, 4" flared), a 62L PR box (24Hz Fb) and now in a sealed 1ft^3 box with a LT circuit.
While I'm very much enjoying the LT box, and it's amazing performance for just a cubic foot, I think the best of the bunch is the 5ft^3 ported. Sounds great all-around, but goes noticeably deeper than the 24Hz reflex (as you'd expect) and louder than the LT box.
The box I plan to build is 3 ft^3 with two of the 15" Lambda PR tuned to 20Hz or so.

Build a front panel out of 3/4" MDF with speaker cutouts to the outside diameter then attach it to your box, then they'll be flush mounted perfectly (look at my pic above).

Thanks Brian. That is good news. Confirmation is always nice to Anthony. Now I need to go to work and earn some $$ to pay for it. :emoji_thumbsup:

I'm currently building an EBS-aligned AV12 sonosub. Final usable volume is something like 142-144 liters, tuned to 18.1 Hz with a single 4" port. Driver is downfiring, port is on top. All my components are finished (top, bottom, tube, base), I just need to put them all together.

I've got some construction pics.. but I can't figure out how to put a photo in a post... does the photo have to be on an internet site somewhere, or can I post photos from my own files? Any help on this would be appreciated.

I just received my AV 15 based Power Cube from Stryke Audio. It is 25" squared and has dual 18 passives on each side. It also weighs about 167lbs.

Enjoy the photos

Martice,

Nice enclosure now how does that thing sound. Can you do me a favor and take measurements of it with a Radio Shack SPL meter from about 14 feet away. I would be intereted to know how it compares to my AV15 in a 6.5ft3 enclosure.....

Thanks,
Tone

I will have to do the measurements on Sunday. My rooms measurements are 11x17x9 and my sitting distance from the sub (not the speakers) is about 14 feet.

I'll get back to you soon.

MArtice,

That is perfect. My room is 14x19x8 so we almost have the same measurements. I look forward for your results.

Sorry guys I'm going to close this thread down until Brian Bunge Gets My AV15 sub to me. No if's and's or butt's about it. It is not fair that I should have to be put to such torture. Waiting is hard enough!> "M/W/M in search of AV15 who promises to treat well and not abuse".< I'll let you know when it's on the way, then you can start this thread up again.;) Sorry I need to be so firm on this.
