HTIQ masking system: Manual 4 way for an 82inch diagonal 16x9 screen.

I used it with a Stewart screen. But I am moving and I have to sell them.

Cost was c. $475. It is less than one year old.

It's yours for $299. I prefer a local buyer (SF Bay Area), but will ship (buyer to pay actual packing and shipping charges).

See my feedback at ebay (nathan_h).

A couple of inquires about what this system looks like. Here are photos of mine. Note that it does not have the falt panels installed, that are on the web site. I found this preferable, and the manufacturer helped me modify the 3:4 panels to not require a lower felt cover/panel -- and, in fact, the mod means you won't want to put the top felt panel on, because it would make hand cranking the 3:4 panels tough.

I found using curtains to cover the sides and top was nicer. I've got some black velvet curtains that I can include, free.

Dang, putting this up for auction didn't work, so my price is reduced to $99 + actual shipping costs -- or no shipping costs if you pick up from me in Santa Clara, CA.

Thanks. Realized I need to update this with the lastest info:

The screen I had appears to be sold, so now I am a motivated seller of a masking system!

The HTIQ web site has changed, so please rely on what you see here, rather than on what is on their site, now.

Mine is the all-manual system, that doesn't appear to be on the web site any longer, so I'm going to include more info that has been requested in PM.

Here is what the completed system looks like, at the three major aspect ratios:

For the 2.35:1 masking, that comes up from the bottom and down from the top, one pulls up each side and tightens a screw-like device on each end. It sticks through this slot (but is not in this picture since I took the picture while putting it together). You can see the bar hanging below, that would be not hanging down like that, once the screw is in place, into the bar, through the wood:

This photo is without the wooden sides in place, but you can see the masks. You can see at the top there is extra bulk on the right and left. This is the 4:3 masking, which is a strip on each side which one manually rolls down. (The creator started with a spring loaded system but it wasn't to my liking so he send me parts to make it based on gravity.)

This is a close up of what the lower left corner of the 4:3 masking looks like, when it is being used:

Here is a close up of the up left corner (wood side piece not in place) with the masks fully open:

Will also be willing to trade for a NAD 2200 amp, or a Definitive Technology CLR 2002 speaker.

Well, I've now moved and don't think I'll ever use it. But I'm no longer hip to shipping this.

Happy to take $49 obo to see it find a good new home.
