I thought in tone this actually seemed closest to Leatherface:TCM III. It was enjoyable enough as a horror film, but I thought it seemed a bit dull and generic(especially the family, who lacked all the craziness of the original).
Anyway, it's worth picking up for the commentaries and making ofs if thats your thing. New Line seem to getting better and better at putting together good DVD packages.
Here in the UK we're only getting the two-disk edition which is priced the same as a standard DVD, which is nice. Unfortunately its an Entertainment in Video release which means we get a horrible, quote covered cover. The insert for the R2 also consists mainly of adverts for other New Line releases.
