Thanks, Pat. This is unfortunate. I think that Paramount over uses DVNR more than any other studio I can think of (with 20th Century Fox a close second.) The Brady Bunch tv series was also plagued with the problem. It destroys the film like look of the film when shiny objects flicker any time there is movement. DVNR literally eats into the image, leaving behind blur and black crud. Here's hoping that the eventual HDTV release will be a new transfer with the sound mix also corrected. I know that when HDTV becomes standard viewing, audiences will notice these artifacts a lot easier and they will be deemed unacceptable by more people.
