There were 2 extra scenes which were also on the previous edition, Lee talking to the Shaolin Monk before the credits and at the end during the hall of mirrors duel when he remembers what the Monk told him in voice-over, both scenes weren't really necessary but don't detract.

I watched it at the weekend, loved it, hard to believe it's 30 years old now.
I took some screenshots.

Due to finances it's gonna be a while before I can get this. Tell me is it really a lot better than the 25th version. Is it nice and clean?

Its definitely better. It looks fantastic. It doesnt look like a 30 year old film.Ive seen more recent films that look much worse on DVD.

There was a recent tread about people here and their fading interest in DVD and when you see something like this - you fall in love with all over again.I was floored when I saw it and was grinning like a idiot.

Those grabs dont do it justice on a 16x9 set (no offense Steve):)

WB did a amazing job on it.HUGE:emoji_thumbsup:

Hey you're right Warrior's Journey had a commentary, better hang on to that than. The only other extras on Disc Two were the 90min Curse of the Dragon narrated by George Takei and a bunch of trailers.
The only new extra on this set is on Disc One, a 30th anniversary documentary called 'Blood & Steel: Making of Enter the Dragon.

 hmmm I don't think JonZ was trying to put anyone off buying this release, in fact looking at his last post he seems more enthusiastic about it than most of us here.

The idea is that Enter The Dragon has been remastered. A 30th anniversary makeover, with a different bunch of extras bundled on the 2nd disc and a new doc on the 1st. Exactly what I was expecting, speaking for myself I'm more than happy I bought it, but I won't be getting rid of the previous edition.

I gave mine to my brother.Im thinking of rebuying the LD just to have the original cut.

Im not sure how they misunderstood either :)

If you like this film, its a no brainer - pick it up.The improvement in picture is worth it.

Once again, because of the package that Warner puts together when they decide to release one of their infamous Two-Disc SE's, I found myself buying another DVD I would not have ordinarily purchased.

WOW!!!!

One of the most entertaining films I've ever seen! And the supplements are practically never-ending!

:emoji_thumbsup:

Thanks, Warner!

OK so now I'm confused. I have yet to get the new 2 disc SE so I can't compare, but this is what I have on my 25th Anniversary Edition as far as special features

Side One

the movie (with Linda's intro)
Cast & Crew (text only)
Behind The Scenes (text only)
Significance of belts in Martial Arts (text only)
Heir to the throne - Jackie Chan (text only)
Retrospective of Hong Kong Martial Arts films (text only)
commmentary with Paul Heller
music only soundtrack

Side Two

Lair Of The Dragon (which features the following segments)
Linda Lee Intro (2:17)
New Documentary Bruce Lee: In His Own Words (19:23)
Original 1973 featurette "Location Hong Kong With Enter The Dragon" (7:43)
Linda Lee Caldwell Interviews Gallery (10 seperate short interviews)
Backyard workout with Bruce (1:57)
Theatrical Trailers (4)
TV Spots (6)
Cast & Crew (text only)
Behind The Scenes (text only)
Significance of belts in Martial Arts (text only)
Heir to the throne - Jackie Chan (text only)
Retrospective of Hong Kong Martial Arts films (text only)

aside from the text only stuff and Lindas intro how does this differ from the new set.

I assume that Curse of the Dragon and A Warrior's Journey are identical to the previously released versions? So if you discount those two items the only thing "new" is the Blood & Steel doc and we lose the music only track.

Is the backyard workout segment longer on the SE or still the measly 1 min 57 secs.

I just watched both discs of this last night. Simply amazing.
I am fortunate to be able to visit the Memorial site of both Bruce and Jason, buried together, just a few blocks from here...
