I have no idea what you are talking about with the "intermission" Just like the laserdisc, the DVD (Widescreen side anyway) has the intermission break and the en'tre act.at least on the DVD I bought.Maybe that's why I didn't notice the "omission"...guess they were there after all...

I plan on buying a Denon 1600 soon, so the previous post of problems with CCBB has me worried, as this is a must have title for me (that darn child catcher). Hopefully I will be able to watch the Disneys with the new player.Got my new disc Sunday, but have not tried it. Will advise as soon as I do.
Layer changed can do weird stuff depending on the disc and player (I figure you know that with 700 discs!). FWIW, the 1600 is not the best at layer changes, but it has never puked completely. It has been fine (other than the normal pause) with the Disney stuff I have (quite a few, since I have a 5 year old).
