    One of the reasons it is a bit grainy is that it is shot in super 16mm. Still, other shows, such as "Veronica Mars" have been shot in this format and managed to look a lot more visually interesting.

    I recall that DR. QUINN was also shot on 16mm - I was just surprised by the grain here. I figured that part of the issue here is that they simply don't have enough time to gussy it up like, say, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. (The cable shows I know have to get their work done in a day or two less time than the network shows. Which can really squeeze the look of a show.)

    I own the first five seasons thus far, and will be picking this one up as well. It's a nice surprise to see that I've missed a couple of season six episodes along the way. Those will be fun to watch for the first time once I get this set. [​IMG]
