So, uhm, I've got a friend, who's got a cousin, whose boyfriend is thinking of building an HTPC, but would like to rip his (legally purchased) Blu-ray discs for easier viewing in an iTunes-like system (since Blu-ray players are so slow and user-hostile, especially experiencing the ease of a Tivo). And this person was wondering roughly how automated and fast such ripping is with modern hardware? To be able to toss a newly purchased Blu-ray into a a box and have it automatically ripped, tagged, and in the system in under an hour -- while TV watching or Xbox goes on in the background -- would eliminate SAF objections to such things.
