How do you reset a remote control for Yamaha RX-V1400? (1 Viewer)

i own a Yamaha RX-V1400 Amp, the remote control's screen shows a message "ERROR" and does not respond to anything, i tried to remove the batteries for 24hrs still nothing, and there's no 'reset' button on this remote. It is just 'dead'...... Please help.....
