As I research the possibility of updating my rig to progressive video (player -> HDTV set), I'm concerned about glitchs that might occur during the deinterlacing process.
I've seen a number of web articles that bemoan the lack of quality control on many DVDs which have incorrect flags regarding video type.
It seems like there are a mountain of challenges that must be overcome by video processing codecs to smoothy deinterlace various and constantly changing (or flat out miscoded) video sources.
How often do you see deinterlacing glitches while watching various video sources (DVD, Cable, satellite, Games, VHS)?
