Hi all, just wanted to check in 1 last time and offer what I think will be the winning combination for me.
Onkyo TX-NR609 coupled with a Jamo set of which I have yet decided on the exact model or set.
How does this sound as a starting basis for a 5.1?
I am limited budget wise but I can squeeze this out for now and after reading up on all of this stuff have concluded that I need time to save up for some of the BIG BOY TOYS in the near future.I do want to thank everyone here for their patience and time.A great place for anyone looking for entry level to upper level help/ideas/info. Thanks again!

The Onkyo 609 is very nice. I can't comment on the speakers but I know there are many Jamo fans.
It seems like a good start to me.
