Brook takes A Hard Day's Night.

I could easily go to ten or twelve picks. Anyone else?

Jim, cool pick!

I'll take I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang.

Based on articles - drawn from his own experiences - written by one Robert E. Burns, this film helped lead to much-needed penal reforms and the commuting of Burns' sentence to time served.

Justin got the last trivia question.

Here's another:

What European country has conducted numerous nuclear tests at Muraroa Atoll in the Pacific Ocean?

Up next:

John
Lew (I have his pick)

John's turn is over.

Lew takes Intolerance.

Justin got the triva question - the answer was France.

Here's another:

What island country announced its neutrality the day after the 1939 German invasion of Poland?

Up next:

Chris
Justin
Brook (I have his pick)

And John can make his pick at any time.

I wonder what my next pick is?

Just an opinion, but I much preferred The 47 Ronin to Chushingura. More depth of characterization, storytelling, and fab cinematography.

eh? Which version? There's well over a dozen versions of this tale on film.

If there is a supposedly superior version of this I haven't seen I'd like to know.

If it's the '41 Mizoguchi version you're referring to then forget it, I've seen it & it doesn't hold a candle to the '62 version.

I'll take Menachem Golan's The Apple. (Hey, it takes place in 1994!)

 Kidding, of course.

I'll go with Alive.

(For the plane crash.)

I'll take The Life of Emile Zola.

The answer to the last trivia question was Ireland.

Here's another:

What volcano's 1883 eruption was followed by tidal waves reaching 120 feet in height?
