That is interesting,

But I think the major issue was/is that existing facilities can be retro-fitted to produce HD-DVD's, while BR replication requires completely new(And expensive) equipment to be installed.

Either way, once the conversion is over and paid for, next year should see BR and HD-DVD hit price parity and approach DVD's pricing I think.
