FYI: I figured since there were so many BD leads HD posts, I'd place this to level the playing field.:)

Of course, the PS3 is waiting in the wings.

I might as well be the pedant to say it: the UK currency is never ever referred to as 'lbs', as that refers to pounds as in weight, '£' is the symbol for pounds sterling (GBP).

Hi,

On a key board, if you use "alt" 0163 you will get the £ sign.

Hold the "alt" key and type 0163 et viola! £

Please resume to what you were talking about. : )

Too complicated.
ALT 156 on the numeric keyboard (Num Lock ON) will do.

how about this :

so what do you think, those 1milions PS3s will do with those numbers...
OK I know 1mil is for PAL teritory, but lets say just 700.000 PS3

even if we take 20-30% from that number will use PS3 as blu-ray player, it will be even worse for HD DVD as in states...

These number mean nothing, until matched to what Sony can deliver. They were only able to get out 192,000 of the 500,000 originally scheduled for the US. With the changes made to the hardware for the Euorpean units, my guess is that Sony will hit maybe 350000 to 400,000 of the promised units, and IMHO, that is giving Sony way too much credit.

Well Thomas, you spend most of the time in the other thread talking about Sony's overstocking of the PS3, so now all of the sudden they'll be shortstocked in Europe?

Seems like Sony will either oversupply or undersupply depending on how you need it to support your argument... ;)

The backward compatibility with PS2 for games was diminished further (a.k.a. non-existent).
