I did not make up this list but found it. I wonder how many of these shows will head to the new MOD program? And head also for the new Decades Channel.

The list goes as far back as 1949, and ends in 1986, just before Rupert Murdoch took over. Although the company is identified by its searchlights logo, and its Alfred Newman jingle, they didn't start using them to represent their TV division until 1960. Crusade in Europe (1949; 1 season; 26 episodes; ABC) The 20th Century Fox Hour (1955-1957; 2 seasons; 37 episodes; CBS) My Friend Flicka (1955-1956; 1 season; 39 episodes; CBS) Broken Arrow (1956-1958; 2 seasons; 73 episodes; ABC) Man Without a Gun (1957-1959; 2 seasons; 52 episodes; Syndicated) How to Marry a Millionaire (1957-1959; 2 seasons; 52 episodes; Syndicated) The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-1963; 4 seasons; 147 episodes; CBS) Five Fingers (1959-1960; 1 season; 16 episodes; NBC) James A. Alfred E. Newman is the MAD Magazine cartoon character. The 20th Century-Fox Fanfare and its Cinemascope Extension was written by longtime Fox musical director Alfred Newman (middle name unknown as far as I can tell -- no place I've found lists it). One of the leading film composers, he was Oscar-nominated 44 times. He won nine, which is still a record.

Hi Rick,

This was what I said at the bottom of the list in my post.

I did not make up this list but found it. I wonder how many of these shows will head to the new MOD program? And head also for the new Decades Channel

I am a huge movie fan and a huge fan of Alfred Newman. I cut and pasted the list and really did not go through it all. Last year they finally released Airport again on CD where before the CD of the movie cost was ridiculous. You guys should see my CD movie collection I think it may even go past my movie collection.

Fox even named their sound stage after Newman. I just thought it was an interesting list and came across it. I did take that E out because I do not want others to think I made up the list. I think this is how it shall be done and I will make the change now.

Thanks for the input. For sure I can always use it. :)
