Within the next year, I'd like to add:
Projector or RPTV (HD widescreen, 65")
Projection screens (if I buy a Projector)
Progressive scan DVD player
High-end CD player
2-channel music pre-amp with HT bypass
higher end cables and interconnects
Pronto (or pronto-like device)
HDTV receivers and satellite hardware
Subscriptions to satellite service?
TONS of DVDs (closeout deals on these might work well)
Other HT do-dads (poster frames, marquis, furniture)
Other thoughts (I don't need these, but others might):
Speaker Stands
Speakers
Integrated receivers (most popular seem to be ONkyo, Denon, and Marantz)
HT Pre-amps
Outboard amps
Just a few thoughts...
John

I agree with Randy_M. I too would love to see great deals on higher-end DVD players such as the Toshiba SD-9200, Pioneer Elite DV-38A, Onkyo DV-S939, or Integra DPS-9.1. There are good deals out there on the '9200, but not on the others that I have seen.
The key question I have is whether a dealer will be able to do group buys on higher-end gear? Will manufacturers allow it (authorized dealers usually are good about playing by the rules), and will the dealer be able to get enough high-end merchandise for a group buy? Let's say the dealer sells the Onkyo DV-S939. How many could the dealer offer for a group buy?

Upgrading to mid-level receiver and speakers very soon, would like to see these and seperates. Also the accessories like cables, speaker stands, A/V and multimedia racks.

I'll be buying a receiver in the next 4 months. Looking at the new Sony ES models or Denon.
This is great news. Also hope to build a dedicated HT in the next year to 18 months so I'd like to see projectors offered.

I'm currently interested in purchasing a remote control like the Pronto TSU2000 (or something similiar.)
Likewise here. A nice, fully programmable touchscreen remote. The Pronto is a perfect example.
Also, speakers & a receiver. I need to upgrade my audio equipment.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you do criticize them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.
