    Hey Folks,

I own a low-end Denon Receiver which I have had for the last 5 years. Planning to upgrade it with something in the $600-$800 range. What's the best one to go for in the market at this price point?

Plan to also move to a BluRay Player soon as well...

    Thanks,
    Vikram

I'd look online for a Onkyo TX-SR805 and see if you can get it for that price... It offeres the most features you can get for that amount of money. DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, HDMI 1.3 are things you need to look at getting in any AVR these days...

The 805 can be had for ~$800 with free shipping from amazon. I don't know of a receiver in your price range that will match it for what it costs.
