Glad to see Sons of Anarchy get some love.

A few head scratchers...

Breaking Bad not nominated for Best Drama, but I guess you can only put so many in that category, so something had to be left out. In other words... you can't have everything.

The Big C getting nominated for Best Comedy... a good show, but I thought it dragged at times. But it did end the season very well.

I assume Breaking Bad didn't get nominated simply because relatively few voters watched it. For my money, BB was easily the best drama of the year and that's coming from someone who thought Boardwalk Empire, Lost and Mad Men were all excellent this year.

When it comes to the Golden Globes, assume that any worthwhile program that didn't get nominated simply didn't shower the voters with enough perks and bribes. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is the biggest bunch of whores out there.

I was looking over the list and noticed Temple Grandin and thought, "didn't that already win a bunch of Emmys?"

Then I realized it was the Golden Globes and ignored the rest of the list. GG's are People's Choice level of who cares to me.

People around these parts probably know I don't hold the GGs in high regard, but I do find the gathering of TV and film actors/actresses in one venue to make for a more entertaining awards show, and that's the only thing going for it over the Emmys and the Oscars. It's a nice party thrown for the celebs and actors/actresses/directors/producers.
