I am so excited, this is maybe my most wanted release ever. But I suppose it is too much to ask for English subtitles? I see no mention of them on the site? Anyone know more?

There's a thread about this at the Criterion forum. Supposedly someone e-mailed Gaumont and was told the set will have English subtitles, but that's pretty uncommon practice for the company so it remains to be seen if that was accurate. Gaumont has a history of delays so it'll probably be awhile before we know for sure (even though Amazon still lists this as a November 23rd release).

Even if the French edition isn't subbed, the UK edition by Artificial Eye will be.
