Getting a new DVD player tomorrow...have a quick newbie DVD-A cabling question.... (1 Viewer)

I will be driving up to Wichita tomorrow on the hunt for a new DVD player, and I am planning on getting one with DVD Audio capability. It is my (quite possibly incorrect) understanding that a DVD-A signal cannot be passed through an optical output, but only though 5.1 analog outputs. If this is the case, will regular halfway decent composite audio cables work?

Nick you're correct on the digital output issue, and yes the cables you are considering purchasing will work just fine for you.
