    Thanks for the link.
Sounds OK, so I think I'll take a chance and order it along with some Alice Faye and Sonja Henie titles.

Importcds seem to have the best prices on Fox Archives at the moment.

    Doug.

After nearly a week there's still no movement on my order for 12 mile reef from Importcds.
I see Amazon has it listed as in stock.

Has anybody got their copy yet?

While at Amazon I saw some even cheaper prices for several of the Fox Archive titles, although 12 mile reef is still at $17plus.

    Doug.

Yes, Amazon delivered mine today too and it was well worth the wait! Gorgeous anamorphic transfer (the jacket erroneously states 4x3 letterbox) with a clean stereophonic soundtrack.

For the first time for me, some actual genuine excitement regarding a Fox Archives release.

If BENEATH THE 12 MILE REEF is any indication that Fox has turned the corner with their MOD releases then I am ecstatic. It is anamorphic wide screen as any CinemaScope film should be, the color is very good and the sound is outstanding. Do not hesitate in getting this film if you have any interest in it.

    Still no action from importcds.

With still a 2-3 week postage time to Australia added on, I'm starting to get somewhat frustrated. :(

When it finally does get sent to Australia I hope it makes it over and not Beneath the Great Barrier Reef. :D

    Now I'm really frustrated. :(
Classicflix has it listed as an up-coming release set for January 28th.
Amazon must have got it early.

Oh well, I'll just have to sweat it out I guess.

importcds usually has great prices on everything, but they often use DHL for shipping and it seems to take about 6-8 days for DHL to hand off packages to the post office in the US. I assume they use DHL for overseas orders also, but don't know for sure. Also if your importcds order has not shipped in 23 days or so, after ordering, they automatically cancel the order, without notification.

Finally got around to watching Beneath the 12 Mile Reef last night . I was very impressed . I thought it looked like one of the better Fox Archive titles I've seen so far .

Has anyone heard of Fox Archives MOD releases for January or February ? I wonder why they announce them, in some cases, after the release date.

Still no movement from Importcds in regards to "Beneath the 12 Mile Reef"

In the meantime I just received 2 other Fox Archive titles from them.

    "George White's 1935 Scandals"
Very soft and very grainy. Sound is acceptable.

I now own 3 different copies (VHS and an off-air recording to DVD+R) and I'm convinced this new DVD is the best we can expect.
It's clear that all my copies are from the same print. Sadly, I think this is all Fox have left to work with.
It remains a favourite of mine and I adore Alice Faye, so I'll forgive it's short comings.

Here are some scans from the new DVD.

    Always a worry.

The other disc I received was a pleasant surprise.
    "My Lucky Star"
looks good when compared with other Fox Archive discs.

The grayscale is very nice and the sound is also surprisingly crisp.
    Sharpness is also quite acceptable.
If the other Sonja Henie titles are as good as this one then I may have to order some more.
Don't get me wrong it's no DVD of the year, but compared to other Fox Archive titles, it's a lot better than average.

    Here are more scans.
