What SMALL bookself speaker would you buy if money was not an option??
Aerial 5 or Platinum Solos. Wait, I'd get both pairs if I had the money.
Oh wait......... I already have a pair.
OK, how about Revel Gems... not that small though.
ACI Jaguar is supposed to be nice.
Dunlavy SC-1 A/V
The new Kef reference monitor.
Well, since you capitalized small, I have to ask what you consider small. If it were me, I'd say ACI Emerald, Sapphire III, or Jaguar. I have 3 Emeralds and they are excellent. I've heard the Jaguars and absolutely love them. They will be my next upgrade. But they are anything but small. I've yet to hear the Sapphires but someone near me has them and I'll be heading over there before long to check them out.
B&W Nautilus 805
You'd have to go with something larger to improve on the sound of these gems, IMO.
I would pick the Dynaudio Contour 1.3 SE
Hands down the Red Rose R3.
That's an easy one - another pair of Proac 1SCs
ProAc Response 2S
Sonus Faber Guarneri Homage
Voce Divina Soprano
I don't remember what model, but I didn't think the Vienna Accoustic speakers were too big, and they sounded AWESOME! I have an M&K 750 THX speaker setup, and the fronts are really good for movies, though don't get enough low frequency to forego a subwoofer.
Beautiful. Tiny. Amazing.
Monitor Audio Gold Reference 10
One listen is all it took.
I would strongly consider the Sonus faber Signum.
