I'm looking into buying an ext. warranty for my new LCD TV, Toshiba 55HT1U. Do you guys have any recommendations from prior experience? The 2 most popular ones seem to be Mack and Square Trade. I don't know about Mack, but ST has online discount coupons I can use. Thanks for any advice.

I sell MACK. Good product, good service. If I were purchasing...Id buy based on price (if choosing between MACK and ST).

Thanks Gregg. I found out today that Square Trade cannot sell warranties to Wisconsin residents(which I am) due to some state law. Do you know if Mack sells to WI. residents? I just called them and they're closed for today. Thanks.

they should be able to (or I can anyways).

My direct pricing:

Pricing on a 3 year in home, based on $2500 price, is $165.

Pricing on the 5 year in home, based on the same 2500 price is $199.

I can't believe no one else has a recommendation or opinion.

If you bought an ext. warranty for your TV, what company did you go with and why?

Thanks.

Note that if you buy with an AMEX card you get an extra year added on to the mfgr's warranty. I have had to use the service one time, and all went fine.

I know this but I want to be covered for more than 2 years. Thanks.

I'm deciding between Warrantech and Mack.

Thanks Gregg. My TV cost $949 before tax. Can you give me a quote for the #1050 and #1402 policies?
