Where on the Die Hard DVD is the comparison example?
On the Five Star collection DVD there is an example with explaination of widescreen vs p&s. Personally I didn't think it was the best scene in which to make an example of.
I think I was first clued in to the serious offensiveness of p&s when I saw Die Hard on video for the first time and there was shot at the beginning where he's in the limo and the credits are being shown. All you can see is Willis' nose and the driver in the background is out of focus. I also noticed how cramped on the screen everything looked and I have been unable to watch DH in p&s without some degree of annoyance ever since.
