With E3 being two weeks away, lets have some of our predictions.
Personally I think we will hear:
Sony will launch its online service in October. Running over AOLs network users will constantly be flooded in game with request for ASL and porn emails.
Microsoft will launch its online network in late August and its big launch title will be Halo Online. They will also announce that they have secured Doom III for the XBox.
Nintendo will say that they will release their modem and ethernet adapter along with the release of Sega's PSO for the GameCube in August. They will surprise people with Metroid having online play designed by Retro's Zoid.
EA will either announce an add-on pack or sequel for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.
Activision will of coarse announce Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 and it will go on to sale another bazillion copies. Also they will announce that Doom III will be the greatest game ever.
Konami will announce Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix MAX for the PS2(hey i can hope right )
Sega will announce the release of Space Channel 5 Part 2 here in the US(again I deserve to dream right )
Namco will announce that Soul Calibur II will be out in November here in the US.
Valve will say that Team Fortress II will never come out that it was just a bet with 3DRealms to see how long they could make people wait for a game to come out and that they got tired of it.
3DRealms will laugh at Valve for cracking first and losing the bet....and then will go on to continue the bet saying Duke Nukem Forever will be out when its done.

The only thing I'm dying to get out of E3 is some up to date Doom3 footage. Man I hope they release something to the public.

Konami will stun the world by porting both DDR and Para Para Paradise to the GameCube (my turn to dream a little dream ). Then they'll follow that announcement up with the startling revelation that they'll be releasing an arcade collector's pack on all three systems, comprised of completely perfect flawless ports of:
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Turtles in Time
- Bucky O'Hare
- G.I. Joe
- The Simpsons Arcade Game
- X-Men
- Aliens
- Sunset Riders
- Wild West C.O.W boys of Moo Mesa
- Contra
I will disappear off the face of earth when it's released, and never again am ever seen anywhere

Doom III being Xbox exclusive....HELL NO!!! I would personally go down to id and bitch slap John Carmack and Todd Hollenshead if that happened. Now it will be exclusive to the Xbox in terms of consoles, andI think the PC version will come first, btw the PC version is the one that I'm getting, gotta love that mouse and keyboard.
And lets face it Duke Nukem Forever just isn't going to happen, its all been one cruel joke

I really can't foresee any surprise announcements this year. True surprises seem to only come in new hardware years. Having said that, Microsoft has been fairly quiet about first party software.
The real question is which games Nintendo will announce have been delayed.

Duke Nukem Forever has been through Quake I, Quake II, Unreal, Unreal Tournament which is where its at now, but with the less than month before UT2003 will be out....maybe they will switch to that

Hahahahaha...Oh man I could never see ID selling themselves out like that. Doom 3 was shown at Macworld first before anything else. But then again Bungie sold themselves out with Halo and that was going to be a Mac first game also so anything can happen.

Hmm, first thoughts for me are:

Xbox

Details regarding the online service and games will be announced (yeah I know, no brainer there)

The big games will be Brute force, Quantum Redshift, Crimson skies. A first party Mario/Sonic style platformer featuring some sort of cute or fury character will be revealed. At least 2 or 3 first party online games will be revealed. Bungie will show off their medieval game that they have been working on, I don't think Halo 2 will show up yet. And yes I think that GTA3 for the xbox will finally be officially announced.

Gamecube

Nintendo will also reveal its online plans and "surprize" everyone that they were really in the game instead of watching from the sidelines.

The big games will be Metroid, Mario Sunshine, Zelda and that Starfox adventures game.

PS2

Again the main focus of their show will be online plans and games. Possibly a GT4 announcement, bet you ICO2 too.

Gamecube, Xbox, PS2 all at $199.

Gamecube will drop to $149, but I suspect that won't happen at E3; probably around Sept.-Nov. for the holiday rush.

Expect Sony to drop some bombs and hold the largest crowd during the convention. People expect Nintendo and Microsoft to make all the big announcements, but I think Sony is still sore from that convention in Europe where MS tattled them out from having interactive displays.

Microsoft will have to show something from the Halo sequel, alongside Unreal Championship and the rest of their online titles (Fever 2003?).

Nintendo will be banking on Mario, Metriod, and Zelda. Look for some demos of Triforce games, and of course, Wario World. Square should be doing some unveiling on Nintendo's behalf as well.

I would be shocked if there was anything to be shown on a Halo sequel, other than maybe some sort of multiplayer, online only game, for the launch of Xbox Live.
My hunch is that Halo II will be out around the holiday season, 2003. Seems about right to me.
I was hoping to see something from Thief III but, OXM says that it will be "behind closed doors".
Can't personally imagine Carmack and crew making their next REALLY big title (need I say it?) for the Xbox only. They've been hugely supportive of the PC community in the past, that it would be damn near sacrilige for them to bail out on it.
Xbox will see Doom III and so will the PC.
Brute Force will be a big title and...
Grand Theft Auto 4..coming to Xbox. ...maybe?

The will also be a 'Punch Dave Perry' booth.
Seriously though, I'd like to finally see some Matrix videogame stuff... Also Kemco's Batman game I am hoping puts in a solid apperance (I so want this game to be good!).
