Could you Mattias? That would be great since on my monitor, which also has no overscan, the framing on both are identical.

I remember us having this conversation before George and you providing a link to a site which compared the 70Mm print to the DVD and clearly the DVD was missing info.

However the LD transfer was not mentioned in that link and as I have said, I compared the two and they were identical.

Hopefully Mattias will post those comparisons and end this debate at least.

A streetcar named Desire

The original 97 single disc from Warners had a slightly sharper more detailed look.

The 2006 2 disc special edition looked like they applied some noise reduction software to the orginal transfer. Sure it's slightly less grainy but at the expense of softness.

One of WB's rare stuff ups and not worthy of the term "restoration".
