1. Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box - Great Picture, Great Sound, Great Extras. All that's great about the DVD format.

2. AVIA - You can't truly enjoy the picture or sound from your DVD player without properly setting up your equipment. This disc starts at a beginner's level and makes it easy to get started. It was the third DVD I bought.

3. The Godfather Collection - Excellent extras. Great to see classic films presented on DVD in their OAR.

Roy Oribson Black & White - I always use the DTS track when I want to show off Home Theatre music to friends.

1. The Fifth Element(Superbit)- Probably the most demo'ed DVD for picture detail. An excellent choice to show off the amazing detail, colors, and clarity DVD's have.

2. Saving Private Ryan- Undoubtedly THE most demo'ed DVD for DTS and Dolby Digital sound. This is STILL the standard by which all others are measured.

3.Terminator 2-Ultimate Edition-The best use of a menu system, tons of extras, great sound, and a great picture. Combines the best of everything unique to the DVD format.

T2-ULTIMATE EDITION: A magnificent array of supplements, combined with a superb transfer. This release shows the DVD format at its state-of-the-art best.

JFK-DIRECTOR'S CUT (Remastered): A great transfer and an excellent commentary track, plus fascinating extras.

KEOMA (Anchor Bay): DVD is also bringing us 'lost' films and genre classics, and this Spaghetti Western is a key release. Beautiful transfer, entertaining commentary and featurette.

Shrek - great for the kids and the wife. They can even watch full-screen (doh!) if they choose.
The Phantom Menace - the extras alone are worth the price
Titan A.E. - again, fun for the whole family and room shaking bass.

#3 Se7en(New Line Platinum) IMHO it is the best looking DVD I own. With subtle, yet very good surround usage.
#2 Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box Great and very funny films with many informative extras and super almost 3D video quality. Very engaging sound as well. They always make me laugh.
#1 Gattaca[Super Bit version] My favorite Sc-Fi film. A smart film with up to date issues. The Superbit version is a beautiful film on DVD with subtle sound.
Starwars I has the best over all sound track but only room for 3 on list.

2. Star Wars Episode 1: Excellent sound and great extras including one of the best behind-the-scenes documentaries ever produced.

3. Shrek: Top notch video; the vibrant colours are amazing. DTS sound is excellent too.
