My pioneer cd deck is no longer playing CDs, so I'm thinking instead of getting a new basic CD player/stereo system I should probably get a DVD combo CD/MP3 player. Does anyone here have one, and is it worth it? When your driving, especially over bumpy roads the discs can skip, and maybe even scratch a DVD movie. I'd love to have DVD combo system in my car ('99 Ford Ranger) and possibly upgrade the speakers.

I will be replacing my Pioneer soon as well. It stopped playing CD's a few months ago, and oddly enough, started playing them a little while after. However, the LED panel display is 100% burned out and can only be read when sunlight is shining directly on it. It still sounds great, but it's a pain in the ass. I'd like to get a DVD player in there, but my car has been robbed/vandalized twice before and I don't feel like getting burned again.
