My first DD movie was Cannonball Run. He had a fascinating and worthwhile career.

    RIP.

Loved him in "The End" with Burt Reynolds and Sally Field. A very funny man.

Knew him primarily from some 'spoofs' and his roles in Don Bluth's films, mostly. Still he was a fine actor and had a real recognizable voice. Shame.

I am going to watch Chef Paul Prudhomme tonight in his honor.

No, but seriously, this is a very sad loss. I loved watching Dom
in the 70s. Very funny guy.

"I was thinking about this the other day," Burt Reynolds said. "As you get older and start to lose people you love, you think about it more and I was dreading this moment. Dom always made you feel better when he was around and there will never be another like him. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. I will miss him very much."

    RIP Dom [IMG]

Goodbye, Dom. [IMG] Thanks for all the great memories.

Steve and Brian-W, glad you brought Captain Chaos to the wake.

Yes, it wouldn't be a wake without...him. (queue mysterious music)

    Dom, this is for you...

Still a great movie, one of Dom's best roles and with one of the coolest openings of any movie in the 80's.

For me I will always remember Dom for his films with Burt Reynolds during their heyday in the late 70's/early 80's. Cannonball Run was always a favourite (hell, I even liked the sequel)....it was fun to watch the outtakes over the credits in which Burt & Dom were always flubbing their lines and having giggle fits- you always knew that they were both having the best time and that they were really close friends. Like Burt, I'm going to miss......him. [IMG]

End credits with bloopers, still funny after all these years...

I loved everything he was in -

Then again, with his passing, he's no longer Captain Chaos, he's been retired.

As he enters the gates of Heaven, and see's God, he'll introduce himself as "Captain U.S.A...dah dah daaaaaaaah!"
