I have a Philips Ambilight 42" 7803 Full HD LCD. Been using it for less than 02 years. It had perfect and crystal clear picture esp during DVD playback. Over the last couple of weeks, I've noticed the blacks are way too dominant even in sunny and clear sky scenes. It's very annoying. At times, I cant even see the faces in indoor scences. I'm no novice and have tried every possible thing but to no avail. I wonder if the LCD is dying on me, although, it has over 100K hours of life before the display starts to fade. And um way under that. Any ideas????

Pls help

Sounds like a back light issue not an LCD issue. What happens when you increase the brightness and contrast?

I have adjusted both. But what happens is that the sunny scenes become brighter but with huge contrast in dark shady areas. I mean all the dark colours blend into black upper and lower stripes in widescreen mode. I can't even figure out as to where the outline of one object ends and where that of the other begins. It was perfectly fine up untill 02 weeks back.
