can one TV be hooked up to two receivers simultaneously - one DishNet and the other DirecTv - via some kind of switch? We currently have DishNet and are considering switching to DirectTv for the main channel package but retaining DishNet for select international channels.

I am new to this forum and so if I have posted this note in the wrong thread or if this question has previously been answered, please point me in the right direction.

thanks.

The short answer is yes. The best method for connecting depends on your display. Most TVs have multiple inputs: HDMI, component, S-Video and composite. Just connect the DirectTV receiver to one input and the Dish receiver to another.

If you would like more details let us know your specific equipment (including model numbers).

As Lew said, you can connect them but we can't help more without details.

But as an example, I have 3 satellite receivers connected to my TV. As long as you have the correct inputs, the TV doesn't care what is connected. If you don't have the correct or enough inputs, there are ways around that as well.
