I have to confess, I'm still not sure what this is all leading to! At this point, all my perennials have been selected, so I'll need to broaden my selection to a much vaster list of general favorites, each of which is essentially as well-loved as any by me.

So, without further bush-beating, I select my favorite director of the Taiwanese New Wave (aka the most vital film community in the world today): Edward Yang.
