I must have seen most of Chaplin's films in my childhood on tv. I was a fan at 10, now I'd be hard pressed to raise even a smile at any of these ancient comedies and not just Chaplins. The Marx Bros were infinitely funnier IMO and my favorite golden age screen comics.:)

That said I do own 2 Chaplin movies and they basically represent that style of comedy in my 3000+ movie collection.
