Hi All, I have my basement pre-wired and I was connecting the wires to the speakers and the receiver. I started off with the surround and center, no problem until now. When I started connecting the front, receiver keeps switching off when I connect one of the wires, The other wire (Front Left) didn't have a problem. The same receiver I had connected with Polk satellite speakers no problem. The problem is occurring with the paradigm speakers. Any suggestions/ideas why I have this problem.

What Paradigm? They only make 60 different speakers...not counting their subs and centers. Which model Denon? I ask cause it matters. And you are supposed to dis/connect speakers(and everything else) with the AVR "off" and unplugged from the wall anyway.
