My guess is that 6th Avenue Electronics will discount the '2900. They are an authorized Denon dealer, plus they do mail order. However, I'm not sure if they ship nationally. They generally discount.

So anyway, does anyone know anything more about the Denon 2900's scaling/zooming/aspect ratio control features?

And to answer my own question, it sounds like no aspect ratio scaling for letterboxed DVDs although it's not confirmed yet. :frowning: There should be some zoom modes PLUS a 4:3 shrink, but it sounds like they don't work together to do letterboxed scaling. Probably gonna do the same as the Philips 963sa.

Actually, that might well be a blessing in disguise for me since I really didn't want to splurge and spend so much on a player. :rolleyes
