I've heard the cast talk about how Milch's approach to a scene is to talk about a million disparate and jumbled things from philosophy to quantum mechanics and somehow, at the end of the ramble, you end up getting the just of what he's trying to say. And the Milch 'conversations' on the bonus features really bear that out. Dreams about benzene rings and bar mitzvahs in Kenya all fit together to make the wonder that is Deadwood.

BTW - anyone catch him on Dinner for Five last week? Didn't know that he was GWB's fratbro at Yale. Tells a great anecdote of impersonating then FratPrez Bush to the Associated Press and saying that the frat boo-fooed their pledges. :b
