    How I will always remember ... "Good night, David." "Good night, Chet." Followed by the opening bars to the second movement of Beethoven's D-minor symphony.

    As noted, a true journalist (and not a news actor). The real deal. And one of the best ever. Not only will he be missed, but, in the current entertainment-driven "network news" climate, his kind will never be replaced.

    He was from a time when those reading the news, were actually journalists. They are now a vanishing breed.
