The only show I'd even think about getting day of release and paying regular price for would be THE FUGITIVE *if* a legit reviewer (not someone who doesn't know what they are talking about - like what happened with the replacement discs) can positively tell me we've got the music situation rectified.

Just picked up "Heroes" Season 3 today.

"The Mary Tyler Moore Show" Season 5 pre-ordered from Amazon.

I'll finish those two series off, but after that, will probably wait until complete season sets are released. Way to many shows that get a season or two released, we wait years and still never see another season.

There are some shows where I only like particular seasons, but for the most part, if I like the show, I want to see all of it, not just a small portion. Luckily, studios seem to be a little more in touch with the consumer, and are releasing everything, uncut, full music, etc. of recent and current series.
