If it is announced tomorrow, what is the earliest it could be released? January?Sigh.

Yes Steve, announcements made this month are for January releases. They usually don't release anything the first Tuesday of a month (which is the seventh) so the potential dates are: 1/141/211/28
A positive announcement regarding this title would make a great start to 2014...hope it happens like everyone else on this thread!!!
I predict a November announcement for a February 2014 release.

Well we always know the date of an announcement, it's always the 15th - unless it falls on a weekend then it's either the Friday or Monday nearest.
I predict a tomorrow announcement for a 1/28 release date.
As the voice of pessimism here, I predict a November announcement -- November of 2016.
Actually, what I really think is going to happen is that the whole thing will be cancelled at the last minute due to an unforeseen legal problem.

I got a feeling this is going to be announced for either a February or March 2014 release with all the bells and whistles we've been clamoring for.
I wonder what we are looking at disc wise? 1 blu-ray or 2? 2 DVD's or 3? And how much would a 5 disc set cost? Criterion swears that the dual format releases won't increase the retail price. But will this be massive enough to warrant a $50 SRP?I paid more than that for the laserdisc. And the B&N sale will cut the price in half. So I am not too worried in the great scheme of things.But regardless of price, this will be a day one purchase for me.
