Commercials with a cell phone ringing or a car horn honking should be banned from radio. Phone and doorbell ringing in TV ads should be banned also.
"What!? You DIDN'T get a 12% raise last year and your not making the kind of money you want? I have to ask you, why not"
OH GOD! You just reminded me of another annoying radio ad...The ones for those financial companies that say something like "If you're spending more than 2.4% for your mortgage, then you NEED to call us NOW!"
or they'll do a commercial where they make it sound like you're a complete idiot if you don't use their services. :rolleyes
"You're killing me, Larry!"
LOL Yep! If only they'd kill each other and be done with it...
Sirius Radio channel 124 (the NFL talk radio station) had a very crass and annoying ad
Pardon my obvious ignorance here, but I totally avoid regular radio, and I've never investigated satellite radio. But, I thought Sirius and XM were like the radio equivalent of premium cable or satellite TV...paid subscriptions and no ads. But, I only have basic cable, so maybe I'm wrong even about the premium TV services.
Are there really ads on Sirius?
No thread hi-jack intended.
nausea, which may be lessened by taking it with food. Other side effects may include infection, diarrhea, dry mouth, constipation, decreased appetite, sleepiness, dizziness, sexual side effects, nervousness, tremor, yawning, sweating, weakness or insomnia.
So you've beaten the anxiety and are ready to hit the town, but you're stuck at home because you have the above symptoms.
Kinda defeats the purpose of the medication.
"Girls Gone Wild!" is another offender. How about some equal time, and giving women "Hot Frat Boys Gone Wild!" Whoops, wait a minute. "Frat Boys" and "Gone Wild" are redundant aren't they?
I take it you haven't seen the line of DVDs from the producers of Girls Gone Wild, called, appropriately enough, Guys Gone Wild? The camerawomen in these DVDs seem inordinately interested in a) whether or not the himbo (and I use that term very loosely) can do tricks with it or b) have named it. Ick.
If it's a music channel, there will be no ads or they'll be significantly reduced. If it's a sports or talk radio channel, there will still be commercials as it's the same program being broadcast on the AM/FM band.
Thanks for the explanation, Bruce... I had no idea. I thought the whole "no commercials" aspect was a big selling point, but I guess not.
