Circuit City (purchased by Systemax Inc) is now back online, but may only be an online presence, much like CompUSA.

the same company now owns compusa's website http://www.compusa.com/ and tigerdirect http://www.tigerdirect.com/ Look at the bottom of the page. They all say the same thing "A Systemax Company". These people specialize in online shopping for electronics. They proably ship the products from the same warehouses. They have also reopened a few CompUSA stores in Florida and Texas.

Well, if rebooting the franchise worked for Batman and Star Trek, why not Circuit City?
