Since there isn't a current thread on this blockbuster, but it's still news, production on 2 1/2 men has come to a stop while Charlie Sheen checks into a rehab. Good luck charlie.

Following Charlie Sheen's hospital visit yesterday that allegedly followed days of heavy partying involving drugs, the Two and a Half Men star has checked into a rehab, while the hit CBS comedy has been put on a production hiatus. "Charlie Sheen has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today," Sheen's publicist Stan Rosenfield said in a statement. "He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern. "This is a sharp reversal from the statement issued by Rosenfield this morning, which stated that the Two and a Half Men star will return to work on Tuesday as scheduled.

It's only January, so you'd be remiss to not include Charlie Sheen in your Deadpool.

What a piece of work this guy is. Allegedly he was at his house watching/analyzing porn with actual porn stars and someone delivered a briefcase(yes, briefcase) full of cocaine which he then proceeded to smoke for several hours straight. I'm starting to think he has more lives than Keith Richards.

I've never understood how 2 and a Half Men is the highest rated comedy on TV and how he is the highest paid actor on television at $2 million per episode. Honestly, it makes me question humanity.

This is infuriating. Horrible. Despicable. Vile.

Why THE FUCK aren't I rich enough to party like that? I'm SO jealous. Fuck.

But seriously, this might be the most interesting flameout in recent memory. His employer is basically powerless to stop him, as they can't replace him, and they obviously can't kill one of their most highly-rated shows. But he'll be fine -- the guy's basically the living embodiment of Hollywood's hypocritical, contradictory attitude towards its own celebrities.

As long as he's an earner, they'll put him in a highly-publicized rehab, he'll do a few conciliatory interviews with Oprah or Matt Lauer or whoever to polish his image back up, and people will go back to watching him essentially lampooning his own public persona as a "loveable larrikin" on his awful TV show, and raking in dumptrucks full of money.

From what I gather from watching the news this morning, CBS was powerless to do anything as long as he made it to work on time and did his job. This latest issue apparantly crossed the line (affected the job) so they decided to put the show on hiatus and basically make him go into rehab.

This is all just what they said on the news. I don't know if we will ever know what really was the straw that broke the CBS back.

I think something pretty bad must have happened on the set or at least at work and they finally had to do something.

I have no problem with his lifestyle as long as it is only affecting him. Now, his selfish behavior has put probably hundreds of people out of a job for an unknown length of time. I don't know if the crew will even get paid durring this time. If not, Charlie better pay them all out of his pocket.

What a selfish act.

Can we pretty much say that next season will the last? I mean, it gets to a point where enough is enough, even with the show being one the of highest rated comedies.

I agree, and for the life of me I don't get how he is successful, I don't think he's funny, has an awful delivery, and he just looks odd on a comdey show. For the amount of money he makes and the trouble he gets himself into you would think he would be much more talented.

The thing that really kills me is how he isn't truly getting paid all that money to act. He's basically portraying Charlie Sheen on that dumbass show every week!

Unfortunately, Two and a Half Men is becoming so vulgar that it's less a comedy and more biography on Charlie Sheen. I can only assume that Chuck Lorre is taking notes from Charlie's real life for the script.

Maybe if Charlie recovers, the show will too.

In the Most Obvious Observation of the Day, I'll express my ongoing awe that NO MATTER WHAT Charlie Sheen does, he's still our good-time-pal Crazy Charlie from TV, and everyone in the world just kind of shrugs it away like he's our most lovable rascal buddy.

Briefcases full of coke, hookers, nonstop porn stars, dropping "N"-bombs on answering machines, allegations of abuse -- Mad Mel and Lindsay have pretty much been marginalized out of the business for committing like .15% of Sheen's total roll-call; Robert Downey Jr. was practically shamed into straightening up, and Tom Sizemore is off somewhere making rubber-mask monster movies on VHS camcorder for 18 bucks.

Sheen could stand atop the Chateau Marmont indiscriminately firing a Rambo machine-gun down at cars and pedestrians below, bellowing "TOP OF THE WORLD, MA!!", and he'd probably get a raise.

The idea that one's professional life should be judged by one's private life is a fairly recent development. Before beepers and cellphones and email and social networking there was neither the means nor inclination to look into what employees did off the clock. Private troubles only became professional troubles when they bled into the work day.

Charlie Sheen shows up on time every day and is completely professional from the moment he walks onto the studio lot to the moment he walks off the studio lot. He gives "Two and a Half Men" and CBS exactly what they want from him. Lindsay Lohan, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Sizemore were not able to make that work. Mel Gibson was, but he made a lot of enemies for himself.

I don't think anyone would argue that Charlie Sheen lives a healthy lifestyle, but I'm not interested in joining the mob kicking the man while he's down. Charlie Sheen makes Charlie Sheen suffer more than anyone else could.

Mark my words... if Lindsay is clean, she'll be back. Mel's at an age where his career would be slowing down anyway. Has Charlie Sheen put anyone else in danger with his behavior? Certainly his loved ones and the people that depend on him for employment would be directly impacted by his decisions, but what about the rest of us? I tend to put my energy into worrying about people struggling to make it and unable to do so, not people who've made it and want to throw it away.

Now that the show has had a hiatus, I don't think Charlie's behavior will be tolerated as much. But essentially, his behavior was sort of overlooked because if we're not being hypocritical about it, it's shared by many in reality, and by many more in dreams. Charlie likes drugs? If we include alcohol, that differs from the rest of America how? Charlie likes sex with a variety of uninhibited attractive women? Again, that differs from the rest of the male population exactly how?

I haven't heard about the N-bombs on answering machines, but if you caught me at the least controlled, most angry moment of my life, I've probably said a few things I wouldn't want my whole life to be judged on. When you're angry, your goal is to be offensive. It'd be different if he's sitting back with friends watching the State of the Union and said, "You know, I hate that N......" As for allegations of abuse, I assume we're talking about from his 2 ex-wives. If so, let it be known that BOTH women still like Charlie, though they think he's a train wreck. Brooke Mueller went back to him after their incident. Point is, he probably gets angry and combative, but it's not like he's curbing, or even balling up a fist and popping someone in the mouth. Sure domestic violence is serious business, but again... look at the people involved. Sometimes people say things to win. But does it look like either woman really believes he was trying to kill them or anything?

His behavior is selfish and destructive, and if he doesn't get it under control, he's going to hurt himself and those who love him. But Mel Gibson was caught ON TAPE with some of his behavior. And Lindsay Lohan has been shunned in the industry not because of any of her underlying transgressions, but because she was not showing up for work. Her cardinal sin wasn't doing blow or high speed highway chases, it was shutting down production and/or not delivering top-grade performances. Hollywood couldn't care less about people imploding. They only care about people imploding during their project. If Charlie continues to affect production, there will absolutely be changes made.

After getting divorced, Denise Richards started dating Nikki Sixx. After being married to Charlie Sheen, he must've seemed downright normal. Also, Charlie can't quit drugs. His body-structure is probably comprised entirely of vodka and cocaine by now.

He'd literally "starve" to death.

So funny that, a day before all of this even went down, Jon Cryer said on Conan that he checks TMZ daily to see if he even needs to come to work, due to Charlie's fuckery. He made a joke of it, but I'd be pissed if some cokehead-dumbass was fucking with my job and my money.

Man, I can't even BEGIN to imagine all the blow Sheen and Sutherland must've done backstage on Young Guns 1 & 2

I really don't care at all about the way Charlie lives his life. What I cannot wrap my head around, though, is how he remains a free man. Are cocaine and hookers not illegal? Again, morally, I don't care what he's doing, but how has the legal system not come down on him time and time again? If I went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, and the blood work they did showed that I had a quarter-kilo of cocaine in my system, the hospital is supposed to call the cops, right? He gets arrested for trashing a hotel room, yes, but were there not illegal drugs in his system as well? Downey Jr. ended up doing some hard time, correct? How does Charlie avoid that, when everybody seems to know the crazy stuff he's up to?

No, you can't be arrested for having illegal drugs in your system. Public intoxication, driving under the influence, but not having them in your bloodstream. It's illegal to own them and purchase them, but they have to catch you with them in their natural state. I wouldn't mount as spirited a defense as Mikah for this guy, but I suppose he's mostly right that it's not my personal problem. It becomes society's problem when he is threatening or actually harming his wives, and the fact that he had a couple of cars "missing" that were found in the bottoms of canyons tells me he might be endangering more than himself at other times as well. Plus, the bastard shot Kelly Preston. That was before she was Travoltized, too.

Oh. and I'm not a lawyer, so don't parade yourself around the police station all doped up and use my post as your defense!

I don't care what anybody says I still love this show. I know a lot of people love shows like American Idol which I guess is a very highly rated show. To me it's like finger nails on a chalkboard! Thank god I don't have Charlie Sheen money otherwise I would be doing the same things.
