The latest E-mail correspondence I have received from Amazon regarding the above, states the following:

It sometimes takes a while for Amazon to associate the discount. This happened with the Forbidden Planet tin. Tried it, no discount, so I didn't complete the order. Went back a few days later, processed my cart again, discount was there, so I ordered.

Basically, don't place the order until the discount shows up. In your case, I'd cancel my existing order and re-order when the discount shows up. The "requesting a refund after the order is shipped" business is ridiculous.

I got the same message when I called Amazon, and also the same email.
The statement about the promotion is missing on some titles which then do not get the discount.
As Craig mentioned, if you wait until the blurb appears, you get the correct discount.
However, I am still waiting for several titles (in both HD-DVD and Blu-ray) to get corrected. Corporate situations being as they are - who is responsible for correcting this oversight? No one....
We as customers sign on in good faith and are responsible for what we order but any corporation believes it is "customer beware" and they have no responsibility. I must say that I have been a customer of Amazon for over seven years and usually happy.
This is the first time they have had this sort of attitude. Are they trying to make the High Definition disc fail? And which one? Notice that they early on put Blu-ray ads with HD-DVD and not the other way around. When I complained they said it was PAID ADS, therefore not a policy!!!

I just completed going through the Amazon High Definition disc titles I have listed to order shortly.
All the Bluray titles now have the statement about the 10% discount.
The HD-DVDs that I had in my list including Miami Vice [which is a cobo title] do NOT list the discount statement and trying to order do not give it.
I have noticed from the early days that HD-DVD frequently is missing stuff needed for ordering.
Either they have people who cannot read or they are purposely avoiding selling HD-DVD. Neither can be proved, but it does make one wonder.
Of course, you cannot TALK to a person in charge - only the custom service who profess to not be able to connect you to a supervisor. I have tried repeatedly to get to a supervisor - am told they will respond - but nothing has happened to get me to anyone in the upper ranks.
I have been a very satisfied customer for over six years - but this new situation seems strangely like they are avoiding something.
Strange that the ten titles I had listed on Blu-ray which initially did not show the discount not have it, but of ten HD-DVDs I had on my list only one shows the discount.
