Well, here's some good news for everyone who was upset at the exclusion of the "Previously on" intro for The Gift. According to the specs for the Buffy Season 7 box set, one of the extras will be:

"Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Easter Egg - The Gift Montage " 0m 34s

I checked the R2 Buffy Season 5 DVD and the "Previously on" intro runs exactly 34 seconds, so odds are that's what the montage is. Assuming the extras are carried over to the R1 set, that means people who are watching Buffy for the first time on DVD will finally get to see what the fuss was all about.
