I thought BD needed to release 10 titles on 50GB this year, to prove its viability. I don't believe BD will reach 10, this year. However, if entire studios are releasing in 50GB in '07, that's good enough for me, that even w/o double digit 50GB releases in '06, 50GB is indeed viable.
Still can't believe "Click", of all movies, was the 1st 50GB!?!?!?!?!?

Hard to say. They are currently up to over 155 released or scheduled for release by the end of the year, 16 - 18 not dated yet, and the EU releases not available in North America. Taken all into consideration, they have a good shot at it. But it will be close.
Aren't those 11 titles all to be released within 2006? Maybe not, but most were announced a while back, so I thought they were 2006 releases. About half have been out for sure.
From the sounds of the article (that I was alerted to from the HTM main page), the Buena Vista discs will have some nice extras too.
Sounds like they're really tring to embrace the format and its possibilities. That's really what studios will have to do to give it the push it needs. Put out high quality releases, incuding the features the titles' DVDs had + new exclusives.
Which is good news, as it looks like Sony screwed up another release of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. It is good that at least Fox, Disney and Warner is doing BD well.

"Originally due to street this week, Fox Home Entertainment has delayed the Blu-ray release of 'From Hell' with no new date announced." http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh..._Purgatory/381 One more BD 50 delay and I'm right!
EDit: OK! I see there are a lucky number thirteen BD 50 titles proposed/announced, so I've got to have four to crash & burn!?!?!?!? Luckily, I've got Sony on my side for this one! ;-)
Proposed: 1. to form or put forward a plan or intention Announced: 1. to make known publicly Please tell me the differance. (and, yeah your english may be better than mine! ;-) )
"Proposed" implies that others (to whom it was proposed) will have to (formally) accept it, authorize it or agree on it first before it can be put into action.
