Based on some research I've done on each model mentioned, my list to take to the adjuster will include:

GR Research
Spendor
Vienna Acoustics
ProAc
Quad
Sonus Faber

Scott, I checked out reviews for all those models...and wow! These are some serious contenders, very affordable too. I'm glad you dissuaded me from settling with Paradigm Studio 20's. There's definitely more out there.

Okay, it's all in the adjuster's hands now. Keep your fingers crossed he can get ANY of these brands!

VA "Haydn"'s are one of the best small bookshelvs out there,if quality of sound concerned,however if you plan to crank 'em up,then it wouldn't be your best bet.
The Polk LSI-9 would be my choice,and it is actualy,I have 4 of them.They do extremly well for HT and music.
